How the Name came to be

I haven’t always been Third Child. I started off with a different label when I was 17, it was called Touchwood.

I had this label for 3 years when our next door neighbour, John and Marcia Skinner decided to sell their vineyard to retire. They had two children, and the vineyard and wine label was their Third Child. John and Marcia produced some beautiful Riesling and Pinot Noir. Then made by my Dad and John.

Not long after the Vineyard was sold, I asked John about the label and what he would like to do with it. He had a bit of time to think and came back to me, more than happy to continue his label. John and Marcia wanted to see the label continue into the future. carrying on their hard work. So we struck a deal, a hand shake, three cartons of wine as payment and the Label was mine.

It’s such an amazing opportunity to take on their label! It’s quite a fitting name for me too, since I am the third child out of three in my family
